Previously based in Lincolnshire where they won the B.B.C. Song for the Lincolnshire Competition in 2015 and where runners up in 2016. Homity are Ian, who sings lead vocals and plays the guitar, and Michelle who sings harmony vocals and also plays a range of whistles and occasionally the concertina. During the time they were in Lincolnshire they were well known on the folk circuit in that part of the country, playing at folk clubs and festivals. Their repertoire is extensive and eclectic, drawing upon the international folk tradition and pop culture, as well as self penned music and original songs. They are renowned for their interesting arrangements and tight sound. Their members are<br \/>\n<strong>Elinor, <\/strong>a founder member of the \u00a0band who plays melodeon with enviable sensitivity.<br \/>\n<strong>Bobby\u00a0<\/strong>plays flute and whistle and has an ear for harmony.<br \/>\n<strong>Kevi<\/strong>\u00a0plays fiddle with style and proficiency. In addition to \u201ctraditional\u201d and \u201ccontemporary\u201d folk music, you can expect to hear hints of pop, country, jazz or even classical music.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><strong>Our doors open at 7.45 and the music starts at 8 o&#8217;clock.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Each evening starts with an informal short \u00a0\u201cfloor spot\u201d. Please contact us in advance to book a floor spot.<\/p>\n<p>Next, after a short break, is our Featured Guest: a 30-minute performance from an individual or group.Finally, after another short break, our Main guest finishes the evening with a 60-minute performance. Occasionally we have two joint main guests each of 45 mins.
